Getting my swim on
🏊♂️ If you fall off, get right back on it. I regrettably skipped my swim last Thursday night. Well not regrettably, I am actually still quite pleased with my decision. I was tired and it was miserably cold for Texas weather. But not one to miss two in a row, I got my butt out there tonight to get my laps in despite really not wanting to get in the water.
It wasn’t my best session, but my coach always tell me you start losing a lot of your feel for the water by being out of the pool for over 48 hrs. That’s why they try to get us to swim every other day. It is exhausting, but it is what is best for me. The muscle tone I gain in my shoulders, arms, and back don’t hurt either.
My times were slower than I would’ve liked and I fatigued quicker than I would’ve liked. But I got out there, got the laps done, and can go to bed feeling accomplished tonight!
